Angry Screw the dealership

Here's a nice dealership story for ya.

I got a flat last friday. I pulled over and changed it immediately. Then I went straight to the dealership to repair my tire. Took em 1.5 hours to plug my tire. But guess what, they didn't balance it because as soon as I left I noticed a bad shake around 40+mph.. So I turn around and go back... 2 more hours later, I am told that they found the tire to be deformed and my rim was bent. Then they asked me for $1300 to replace it. Obviously I left furious with my spare on still. These are the stock 18" rims btw.

So I take it to a tire shop for a second opinion... And my rim isn't even freaking bent. The mechanics at the dealership were too lazy to take the tire off the rim. So not only were they going to charge me 100% markup, they were gonna "Replace" a perfectly good rim.

I'm livid... To make matters worse, the tire shop noticed a little extra wear on my other front tire. Both of those front tires are brand new due to feathering. Dealership replaced my tires about a month ago, but didn't fix the f*cking alignment.

Boy was I naive to think my dealership actually cared about quality work. From now on all they get are scheduled maintenance and official warranty stuff. No more $$ from me. Ever.

I would call the manager, be nice, and talk to him and ask for them to make up the price you paid somewhere else either in free service or parts or something. If nothing, then call NNA

I wrote a polite and descriptive letter to the manager.

I doubt they'll make up the $300 it cost to replace the tire. Especially since they just replaced my tires due to the alignment defect. AND I'm having problems getting them to replace the darn nissan emblem that mysteriously disappeared after they handled my rim.

I'm a patient guy, but it's running thin.

On this emblem thing, the dealership is stonewalling me. I know for a fact that it was on when I changed the tire, and that is wasn't when I got it back from them. Is this something that just comes off? Does it screw on and off? Can I just buy a new one somewhere? This dealership just does not give a crap. I've talked to the service manager, and the general manager. They tell me in so many words that they arn't going to replace it because they can't be sure when it came off..

I'm talking about the small nissan emblem in the very center of the rim. It's not crucial part or anything. It's just the fact that they freaking lost is combined with everything else I said in the first post. It's like they are trying to **** me off. It's just a freaking emblem for god's sake. Anybody know where I can find one?
