Default Best way to make this work?

Hey guys. I want to put 18x10.5's +5 in the rear and 18x9.5's +15 in front and I want to lower my car by an inch maybe a tad more like 1.2".

My question is what size tires do you guys recommend for a fat agressive look, do you think those offsets will look silly, specifically the rear, and will I rub regardless or a roll or whatever I do?

I ran a whole 5mm off those specs with a 275/40-18 rear, then later with a 285/35-18 rear. Up front with 9.5 +15 I have run 275/35-18 ,245/40-18 and 255/40-18

How much did you have it lowered, and I'm guessing you rolled fenders?

It's changed a bit, maybe the most was 40mm front and 55mmish when my car was slammed.

Of course the rear is rolled, it's about a 20mm different in what you can do when they are rolled

as in 20mm offset difference?

i haven't found any of this information about how much you actually roll your fenders or why exactly you do it.

The horizontal fender lip reinforcement is rolled (bent) flush to inner fender for tire width and height clearance.

Just wondering.... is there a particular reason you want +5mm offset rear wheels?

found a pair of wheels that I absolutely love. That's the only offset they offer in that width of wheel, that and I really wouldn't mind such an aggressive look.

OK, fair enough. But I have little doubt that you will HAVE TO roll your fenders and probably need to minus the rear camber for them to fit without rubbing even the rolled fenders.

I've run every combination of wheel up to 11" wide with 295/35 and lowered; never had any clearance issues - offsets in the mid-20s - until I went to a "modest" 9.5" +15mm.

The key is to set up your suspension to properly accommodate the aggressive tire/wheel fitment.

basic look I'm going for except not QUITE that low. Cosmis S1's in black chrome is what I'm after.

Roll the rear fenders flat and you can easily put a 285/40 in the back and a 255/40 up front.

That car doesn't look like it's lowered much, if at all.

^^^ Agree - with tires mounted on "correct"- +15mm+offset wheels. I still maintain that there will still be interference with a 10.5 wide, +5 wheel; unless running a stretch tire....which is not a preferable solution, any more than minusing camber for the purpose of tire fitment.

But, never ran such a wheel so take my comment with salt.

I have an 06, and I do believe they sit higher than the other years, at least it certainly seems higher than all my buddies.

what about pulling fenders? Could that help?

Only pull if necessary. You shouldn't need to however
