I've had the V12s on my previous DD (Mazda3 Hatch) and they performed fine and lasted 50k or so (mostly highway). My Z (mostly track car now) been thru 2 sets of RS3s (also a Hankook tire) and they are awesome.

Before my Z became a track car, I've had Nankang on it for DD and I didn't see any problems both wet and dry. I mean, it's not like you're tracking it on the streets and go 10/10. All have to do with the driver and what he knows/doesn't know about his car...... if driving 100mph rain or shine on the street is a priority, then yeah, maybe u should get some super sticky tires..........

I have the toyo proxes that I bought at 4wheelonline. These tires provide good grip on dry and wet roads.
