I'm gonna add larger spacers than the current 20mm & 25mm H&R's I have now. I came across a thread on a G site where a poster claimed that these cheap spacers from this seller https://www.ebay.com/str/premierautoacc on Ebay were trouble free after having gotten them for several cars. Is this true? Who's gone with any no-name spacers with or without trouble and who was the maker/seller? Are spacers like H&R's dramatically over priced?
They might work fine, but you're taking a risk on arguably one of the most important areas of your vehicle for safety, i.e. keeping the wheels connected to the car. When i purchased my car it had large no-name spacers on it, and you may find that most of the spacer studs will strip overtime. The car only had 3 lug nuts on one of the wheels., because the rest of the studs had stripped because of the low quality.
I would assume the more expensive spacers are made with stronger and higher quality metals, while also being thicker around the 'edges' to prevent cracking at/near the lug holes in the spacer. But this would vary between brands. Even some more well known brands have been known to crack, i'm not a fan of spacers to begin with.
I prefer to be spacer-free as well but I'd rather use spacers than be confined to certain wheels just because of the offset. The spacers do add an interesting dimension to open faced wheels like mine though.
The bolts stripping are my biggest concern. I've got closed end lug nutz which prevents water intrusion and the car doesn't see salt. I was thinking about using a small amount of grease or anti-seize on the bolts and I always use a torque wrench to prevent over tightening.
Hopefully some who've gone the silly cheap route will chime in with their experience. I'm gonna space out the wheels on 2 cars, so if these cheapos are legit, I'll save $400 +.

I have used these spacers (out of Fremont, CA, yes?)
Never had a problem with them. Matter of fact, my first set of “big name” units broke a stud and these have been fine. I still have the first set (of probably10-12 sets) of 15 and 20s. And they’re put into the duty cycle from time to time.
Then again, I don’t keep a set on for more than a few months at a time, not enough stress testing? 😆
But really, I couldn’t tell the diff between these and the big name ones at all.
Spacers have been hit and miss for me. 1/4 of a set that I bought off ebay cracked by the lugs after a few months torqued to spec with a Craftsman torque wrench. Another set I had bought off Amazon (KSP Spacers) was advertised as "forged" were CNC'd from a solid aluminum piece were way nicer in quality than the ones off ebay. I also have Project Kics that were overpriced for spacers but reliable and headache free nonetheless.

I think the risk (<$200 for 8 wheels) is worth the potential reward (+ $400 in my pocket). I have a week or 2 before I buy'em because I'm waiting on new rubber for 1 of 2 cars, so if the reader has feedback,.good or bad, please leave it for me and any future readers.
