Thumbs up 255/40-18's

Wouldn't a pair of 255/40 series rears on a track's stock rims be fine as well? Looking at an 03' Track today and discussing tire options, I can't stand the OEM's. I have pilot sports on my M-Roadster and they're as good as anything I've ever used (a bit pricey though). Anyway, the 18's on the track should more than enough to handle 255/40's. Anyone out there make this change?

Thanks!

I have 255/40s on the rear (S03s), and they're perfectly fine. Good thing for you is that Tirerack has Pilot Sports on clearance since the next generation of Pilots Sports will be released soon.
