Stocks on the Touring I looked at yesterday were the Pontenzas (?) - are these the same ones that get panned everywhere on the boards? Was hoping they were new, would hate to buy the Z then turn around and have to buy a new set of all seasons and a set of Blizzaks for winter wear. Thanks.

they arent THAT bad. not optimal choice, but you can drive on them till they die or just light em up at a few track sessions. I mean... I donno seems like some blow stuff out proportion, they are stock tires, the car handles rather well(even with these "aweful" tires mags get .88g on skidpad, and excellant slalom, accel, and brake times.) not like they have to be removed and thrown away before you should drive the car.

you will never find a tire that will work for both summer and winter either.
