Default Question on Nismo Wheels

I have a silverstone touring roadster with the 18 inch wheels on order. I was wondering if I can use the same tires that come stock on the 18's with the Nismo 18 inch wheels I would like to order. Sorry, but I don't know much about all of the tire sizes and offesets. I would think by matching the wrong tires with the Nismo Wheels I could end up in big trouble. Already own the chrome silver coupe but have kept that stock for now.....couldn't pass up the roadster!

thanks for your help

Foley

You shouldn't. Not correct tire size.
You should use:
F: 245/40/18
R: 275/40/18

Actually, Stevens Creek nissan has a SS roadster with the 18 inch Nismos on it. They took the stock tires and put them on the nismos. Looks like CRAP! I really can't believe they did that.. The tires are way to small, and it has a larger profile then it should so it looks funny in that regard as well...

And the above is correct.

You should have a 245/40/18 and a 275/40/18 on the 18 inch Nismos.

Why not 275/40/18 mounted on their 18x9.5" 30 offset *both* front and rear? SCC did an article stating that it created better balance, and an impressive 1G (with Hotchkis Sways and Kazz diff). They also said that a 9.5" width with 300mm fit up front. IMO, it makes more sense, looks even better, and the setup is rotatable. I'd probably add a 5mm spacer on the rear though.

You could do that. I read this article as well. Someone on the forum just did it as well, or is going to?

However, I doubt it is going to fit correctlyin the wheel well. I have a feeling you would be disapointedwith it sticking way out of the fender well or rubbing like crazy.

IfI remember correctly they had some odd offset with a 12mm spacer, and it still slightly rubbed the control arm.

And IMO, it gives the car a funny look to it...

Do you guys mind if I ask another question of Nismo wheels?

I just ordered tires and i will install Nismo Wheels/tires next Sat.
Do I need to do alignment again?
My dealer recently did 4 wheel alignment and TSP or something like that for feathering issue.
but I don't know I need a new alignment or not.
Please let me know.

I have some rays center caps coming in for me and some customers...

I would need to order some more since I sold the ones that are coming in already...

You MUST use 245/40 / 275/40 18's if you have VDC or the tire diamater and VDC wont get along too well...

no your miss understanding or i posted it wrong...

245/40/18 / 275/40/18 is the only tires sizes that will work on the NISMO WHEELS and not trip VDC
