When you look at these wheels they look the same. I know the cheaper wheels weigh more, but is it really necessary to pay 2-3xs as much to get the same basic look.
please let me know what the down sides are to buying say the volk gt-c over R-1 GT-5C

It's not necessary but you get what you pay for, they are going to weigh more but you will have a similar look. The only downside of buying the Volk as compared to the others is the high cost, other than that it's in every way a better wheel.

Buy wheels for yourself. Don't worry if they are real or not as long as you like them. Afterall you are the one thats paying for them.
I could have bought replica GT-Cs myself I was looking at a few makes, but in the end I waited 3 months to get Gold GTCs. For me it gives me peace of mind that my 19s are made by Rays and will probably stand up to more abuse than the ones that are a lot cheaper, this may not be the case as other makes might make a strong product as well. It just makes me feel better.

Thanks for the inout guys. I guess I need to know how they are lesser wheels. Will the finish suffer in the long run, will the crack quicker, etc. I figure I may change wheels every two yrs. so to know what the wekaness are might be helpful.
Thanks again
