Default bad shimy shake at over 80

hey, guys, need some help here. 2 months ago I put on 19's x 8 all around with same tire size at all corners, 255/35 michelins fz4. Now, when I hit 80, I noticed a shimy at the front, lessens a bit over 85 and then hits again at 90. I took the car in for alignment and it helped a little, but it's still noticeable. I'm thinking about maybe going for a smaller tire at the front? lower? camber? I'd like to hear you on this situation, car looks nice but this is a major concern.

Have your wheels balanced.

Yes, check your wheel balance.. I bet one of your weights fell off or something like that...

well, I have two toyos 225/35 and am going to put these on the front, so I'll check again when I do that. Do you think I might have too much rubber at the front?

No, almost certainly wheel balance. Either a weight has come off or the place that balanced them did a poor job.

another possibility: your aftermarket wheels are likely lug centric (wheel is centered on the hub using the lugs)... the stock wheels on the Z are hubcentric (wheel is centered using the hub itself)

When you installed your new wheels, did you add hubcentric rings to the inside to make sure that the wheel was properly centered?

I didn't on my winters and I have a shimmy at high speeds just as you describe.

Get hubcentric rings for your wheels that should cure the shimmy.
