TPS... which one goes where?
Ok, I made a really silly mistake last week. I had my stock tires dismounted from my stock rims (I sold these) in order to take out the TPS.
TPS came out just fine, which is good news... but when i brought them home, I threw them all in a bag... which mixes up where they belong (e.g. front left, rear right etc...)
So my quesiton is, does it matter where they go? I've looked at each one closely, and they don't have a FL/FR or RL/RR marking on them... can I assume that there's isn't a specific TPS for front/rear and left/right?

Yep, it has to matter where they go. The computer has to have some way to know which signal is from what tire....There has to be a correllation.
They're motion activated/powered, right? Maybe you could zip tie one to a bike tire, then spin the bike tire (very near the car) and see which one the trip computer gets a reading from? Just a wild guess.....I could be smoking the good stuff today.

UNLESS there are individual sensors on the car PER wheel well... can anyone who's installed their TPS on aftermarket wheels give me their thoughts?

The sensors are all mechanically the same, but have different serial numbers (ID's). A dealership can use the Consult-II device or the special Tire Pressure Sensor registering device to teach the computer which ID is coming from which tire.
The idea of attaching the sensor to a bike wheel (or just mounting it to one of your new wheels without a tire) and spinning it sounds good. You can turn on the car, spin the wheel, and see which tire is reporting the info from the trip computer. Then, mark the sensor so you don't forget, and install it in the appropriate wheel.
I just realized that when I had my tires changed I never told them to be sure to replace the front right tire with a new front right tire and so on, so it's possible that mine are swapped as well. Ahh well, at least mine are correct front to back so it doesn't really matter as long as I keep them all at the same pressure.

it doesnt matter where they go...
most of the time you eed to have the deler re-set them...
i have 4 sitting on my desk for sale if any one wants them... if you have broken one or something..
