Default 18 inch whees and tires, need advice.

I just purchased what I was lead to believe were matched set of wheels and tires for the 350z.

(please keep in mind that my car is getting a custom exhaust and the wheels cam in yesterday so I am not able to get them together until Tuesday)

What I received were the following.

Fronts:
Enkie 8-1/2 with a 35mm offset - 245/40ZR18 tires

Rear:
Enkie 9-1/2 with a 25mm offset - 275/40ZR18 tires

The issue that I see is that the rears might make the car go up a 1/2 inch and the tire looks like something that belongs on a 66 mustang that was tricked out with Tracking bars and taller tires in the rear with shorties up front from some van halen rock fan back in 1983.

Is ANYONE else running this same tire setup and have pics I would really like to see my worries lessoned.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott... you have nothing to worry about, the tires you ordered are EXACTLY the right size for your Z. Lots of people are running these with their nismo lm's (no pics on hand, but do a search).

In particular:

245/45/18 (stock) = 26.7 inch overall diameter
275/45/18 (new) = 26.7 inch overall diameter

BTW, which enkei rims did you get?

Front offset my bring the wheels in a little to much, but otherwise as Strife has said everything is fine with the tire size and rim width. Don't worry about it, it will look great, and handle better.

Thank you both for the input. I guess if the offset upfront is to much I could get some H&R spacers to gring them out a tad more.

Strife, I bought the Enkie PK6's with Falken 451's. I really love the lips being nice and deep.

Take care,

Scott
