Hope this gives you(and others) a better idea on these oversized tires. I love 'em

And one last one. This took some time putting these together, so hopefully the moderators won't mind. All in an effort to help those interested.

Looks good, still trying to decide if I should take the plunge or not.

One minute I am all for it and one minute I am not sure.

Looks great though and looks is not the issue. It;s safety, I will be going for 245-35-18 and 275-35-18s since 40s aren'y available in the brand I am looking into.

Thanks for your help.

Sev, only one thing with that setup. You'll be showing 57mph when you're actually traveling 60mph.

Btw, i'm sure my setup is as safe as they come. I doubt a major retailer outlet would have installed them if otherwise.

Good luck on your tires

This is great guys! I was looking into Nitto 555's also but wanted wider fronts and rears for that more aggressive look. I even bought new 8.5" rims just so I could do that. But the more reading I did the more apparent I bouhgt too small a rim. You guys just proved to me that my rims are just fine..Thanks!

If you're looking into compatible rims to go with these sized tires, you'll want 8.5" wide on the front and 9.5" wide on the rear. Matter of fact, they do bring out the wide stance better than using the stock 8" wheels.

Yeah unfortunately I bought the rims before I did all my research..ended up with all four 8.5" wide rims. (darn) So mounting the sizes you guys have will not be a problem.

No, it won't be a problem at all. Actually, it'll be more compatible using the 8.5" wheels than the stock wheels i'm using. You'll do just fine.

Man, shift, those look awesome!! How do they handle compared to the old set up? Those rears seem to fit absolutely Perfect! Nice job. Glad to know I can do that when the time comes for new rubber.

I will be getting, If I decide to go through with it that is, Hankook ventus K104s. Hankook doesn't have a top notch reputation but their tires as of late are really good.

I know the importer for eastern Canada and I can get a set for really cheap. The K104s are used in an eastern Canada racing series as a spec tire, they are great. They stick very well and last a long time.

Not sure yet what to do.
