New rim and tire sizes
Hey guys I'm preparing to buy really light rims and good tires which is a big thing for me. So I'm afraid to do something wrong and dealers not seem to be very helpful with my questions...
Here is the question.
My stock wheels are
17x7.5 F, 17x8 R with 225/50/17 F and 235/50/17 R
Now I run autocross, and for autox stock class I'd like to stay in 8" width. I know, I know 8" all around isn't exactly stock, but nobody will object in clubs I run in.
Also I defenetely want little wider than stock rubber.
So I have 245/45/17 F and 255/45/17 R in mind. Those tire sizes will keep my factory radiuses 0.7% accurate.
Do you think those sizes will run fine on 8" wide rims? Front tire became 20mm wider on 0.5 inch wider than factory rim. Rear tire became 20mm wider on the stil 8" wide rim. Is it okay? What are the rooles for rim width?
Also for 17x8 rims, will +35 offcet will be okay all around? Is our stock offcet +35?
Thanks a lot
