vitaminZ - Awesome wheels. Couple of questions:

-How much do they weigh?
-How much lip is there in the front?

I have a G35c and am interested in the exact same.

grapela,

Front are 18x9 +22
Rear are 18x10 +25

I was told the front weigh 21lbs and the rears are 22lbs. I never weighed them. Discount tire direct carries the Boyds and they were around $2100 for the rims. DTD has excellent service and would recommend giving them a call.

Saw your wheels that you posted back in April. Which model are those wheels and where did you buy them. I was trying for that look without going to 19". Also what should they run.

Thanks,

here is a thread started by DiscountTireDirect about the weight of the front and rear ENKEI PK6 wheels. this info is coming directly from the distributor.

front lip 1.5"

rear lip 3.5"

This is a good thread! I iwsh I saw this a couple weeks ago...great for ideas.

I'll post pics of my gram lights when I get em on next week...assuming the stock tires look ok on them. Will eventually go to 245/40 and 275/40....18x8.5 and 18x9.5 (Come to think of it, will the stock rubber fit ok?)

Thanks,
The model is Boyds Forged F07. I bought them from Discount Tire Direct for aroung $2,000 without tires. Pm me if you want a better pic.

I just found this thread...excellent. Has anyone put 275/40-18's on 18x8.5 rims? I'd like to keep the stock Track Rays rims, but would like to "supersize." 255/40-18 should be ok on the fron 18x8.

If tire choice makes a difference, I'm thinking about Eagle F1's.

BBS RGR, Black Diamond finish. 18x8.5 and 9.5, Toyo 245/275/40/18 before the 350Z Tien S-Tech drop.

I put 275/40/18 Pirelli PZero Nero M+S with a section width of 10.8 inches on my G35C 18 x 8.5 wheels (flange-to-flange was 8.5") in the rear. The sidewall bulges a bit, but the tread appears to be sitting flat on the road as measured from contact patch--spray tread with tire cleaner and roll over paper. The contact patch is significantly bigger than that of the 245/45/18 Michelin Pilots.

I'm still debating what to put up front, but I will make the change soon since the car is now *extremely* unbalanced. It pushes like a pig in turns. The rear has so much more traction relative to the front tires that I've severely altered the cars balance in turns. The OEM Pilot 225/45/18 fronts are 8.8 inches wide vs. 9.6 in the rear for OEM 245/45/18 Pilots, yielding an 8% stagger. I now have 10.8" wide tires in the rear, yielding a 19% stagger. I'd actually like to eliminate the stagger (same at front and back) to make the car understeer less and to allow rotation of the car under trail-braking.

I see from searches that some other G35C and 350Z have run 275's all around on the same wheel (usually 17 x 9 or 18 x 9 track wheels) without problems from VDC.

the pk6's don't seem to look as good to me in silver. maybe it depends on the color of the Z. i have had my pk6's since 25Feb04 and i couldn't be any happier with them. great wheel at a great price!

btw, i paid $1,547 for wheels, tires, gorilla lugnuts, mounting/ balancing and free shipping(took two days). i purchased mine through discount tire direct.

with Pirelli P-Zero nero 275 / 40/ 18 (all 4)
