Default What Wheel/tire size/offset for handling

What wheel and tire size/offset would you recommend for optimum handling in 18" wheels/tires? I am going with I-forged 3-piece wheels, I have heard different recommendations from several very high end wheel manufactures. I was hoping that some of you guys that race would have a good idea of what size/offset I should go with, I would prefer listening to you rather than the techs that have never driven/seen the wheels yet. I am planning on racing next year in SCCA and I care about the handling more than I do ride quality.

How much did iforge quote you for wheels??? I spoke to them and they quoted me $1900 for a set of 18x9's in the front and 18x10's in the back...Seems reasonable. Hre wants $3600 for the same thing. I am still contemplating which offset I am going with. Also, I am going to wait until Eibach comes out with a spring kit for the car.....

What type of SCCA racing? If it's solo II stock class you can only use stock size wheels. If it's some other form of SCCA racing there are rules that dictate wheel sizing.

Craig we are going to do

18x8.5 +22 offset
and 18x9.5 +22 offset

so you get a 2.5 inch in the front
and a 3 inch lip in the rear

we are going to start on them monday

Iforged,
Thanks alot!!!! Hey can you help me out on the pricing a bit, maybe match the quote for J's 350Z at $1900? That sounds much better to me! I will post pics for everyone when the car is completed, I am so excited!!!!!

As far as the SCCA rules, I was not aware of the wheel sizes, I guess I will hold onto my stock wheels so that I will be able to race solo II. Thanks alot for the info.

3502GO,
That price i quoted him was for the two piece RS series not the 3 piece FS series that you ordered. I actually gave you the best price with that special discount.

I figured something wasn't right. At $1900 I would like 100 sets !!! :-) You guys that are looking for aftermarket FORGED 3 piece wheels should check out these wheels at I-forged at http://www.iforged.com , With these available, why would anyone go with HRE???
