Default Tire Size for a 19X8 Wheel

After 7+ weeks, I finally received a call from Iforged advising that my wheels were shipping this week. I am getting Evolutions in brushed aluminum in sizes 19x10 in the rear and 19x8 in the front.

So, now it is time to invest in some new tires. As for the rear, I am going with 275/35/19. However, I am unsure as to what tire size would be compatible with the 19x8 wheel. Should I go with a 235/35 or 245/35?

Thanks.

You could go with 255/35/19 in the front too... it's actually a closer match and provides slightly more sidewall protection

Seems like I am getting some conflicting data - I have been advised that 235, 245, and 255 would be the correct tire size. Does it really matter that much? Would any of these be the correct tire size?

I know that most who have a 19x8.5 front are running a 245, however I thought that since I would be using a smaller wheel (19x8) that I may require a smaller tire (235).

I have forwarded a question to Discount Tire - let's see what they recommend.

Thanks for the help.

no, you can use 245 on 8" wide rim. just like stock 18x8, you can fit a 245 on it.

245/35/19 would be the best choice...
