I was quoted $120 to ship (4) OEM 17" tires (no wheels, just the tires) from UPS (ground shipping). BTW, this was an estimate over the phone. And yes the shipping is in the US.

Does that sound about right?

I am trying to sell my tires but afraid the buyer will back out because of the ridicously amount of $ for shipping.

 

Shippping Costs for four 17" wheels & tires, approx. weight 50 lbs each. From GA to Washington state, $51.70 EACH via UPS ground, about a week to deliver.
