I just got my front's replaced by nissan so they are brand new. I need to replace my back tires there completly shot. I'm choosing between nitto 555's, bf td kd's or kdw's . What do you guys recommend. Also should i stick with the stock 245/45/18 or upgrade too 275/40/18..

if you're running the stock potenzas in the front, get the same tire or something very similar in specs/tread pattern for the back...

nitto555's might fit this requirement

 

so mixing isn't a good idea then huh?

 

it's not the worse thing you can do, but it's also not the best... mixing tires in the front and back (with different specs/tread patterns) may result in unpredictable handling... this isn't to say that the car becomes undriveable, it just might not be performing at 100% during the rain or during a hard turn for instance

 

the new bfgood wrench g-force kdw-2 are great tires look at the stats on tirerack.com. I want them but im not sure they come in 275 40 18.
