I was wondering if anybody out there has had to repair the finish on their volks with a polished lip? Are they clearcoated or not. the reason I ask is because the first day I had them I scuffed them just on the outer lip, I then took them to a restoration wheels shop to repolish the area today. I then got a phone call saying that there looks to be a coating on the lip where they polished it because it took something off and now in the area around where they polished it has a line like there was some kind of clearcoat. Please help with your feedback and experiences with this situation. Will they look the same if they strip it down and repolish the whole lip or not?
