Default Tire Sizes

Hey what's up I just got new rims for my 350z, ADR M-Sport 19"x8.5" front ... and 19"x9.5" rear, my friend can get me Michelin tires for $620 new. They are 245/40/19 and 275/40/19. Will this be ok for my Z?

PS. My car isn't lowered or anything like that.

itd be better if they were 35 series instead of 40 series. but they will work. VDC wont go nuts or anything, but youll have a pretty thick sidewall for a 19" tire. same amount of sidewall as those with 18" tires infact. youll just gain an extra inch of circumfrence, which will hurt acceleration a bit and raise the car half an inch.

The anwer depends on what model you have.

I think the standard tire size for the 19" setup is 245/35-19 F and 275/35-19 R. This configuration keeps the rolling circumference of the wheel within about 0.10" of the Track model's Ray's 18" (A 19" wheel, but shorter sidewall = similar circumference), thus it won't cause problems with the VDC system.

If you don't have the VDC, you should be ok, but realize that your speedo is going to be off now.
