Default Nail in tire sidewall need help with options.

Well I got a nail in my rear tire sidewall. Since both are pretty worn at 11k I think I'm going to replace both of them. Which would be a good set of tires for the rear 245/45/18 ?? I'm not trying to go back with the stock ones. And does anyone know a good place to purchase a set for a decent price?

Thanks.

255/35/18s are about 1.5" too short, they are shorter (lower) than the 225/45/18s in the front. They will upset the stagger, big time. Stay with the 245/45/18, or you could move up to 255/45/18s. IMO, the best cost/performance value right now is the Dunlop SP9000s. You could buy them from Discount tire.

I like the Dunlop SP8000 tread design myself. I use them on my other car (see my avatar)
I had the Bridgestones replaced free on my Z at 8500- the fronts were peeling the tread off. But, they had been perfect up to ~6500-7000 miles, just suddenly went to pieces literally.
New ones have 8000+ (Potenza RE040) and seem to be fine.
Check Discount Tire website- use the tire information page, and you will see the effect of different tire sizes. Easy to use.

Thanks,

Well i just noticed today my 04 has the feathering problem, wearing unevenly on the inside of the front tires. So I'll be getting new tires from the dealer infront but, I'll have to take money out of my pocket for the rears.
