http://jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu/~mcy1/gap/index.htm

i don't know if it's usually that big, or what. anyone else with 19s that can say? i know it's not lowered, but i dont remember non lowered 19s to have that big a gap

i bet you are running 275/30/19 for the rear tire size. Mine was the same on the rear. The cars you see with 19's on stock suspension height are probably running 35 series tires and therefore fill in the gap a lil more. They may even be on 285/35's.

Those look like Nitto tires you got back there. You are probably running a 275/30/19 back there hence the huge gap. The 275/30 is about one inch smaller in diameter than the 275/35 which is the recommended size.

You will still have a nice size gap even with a 275/35 or 285/35, but it is totally exaggerated when you run a 275/30. Solution? Get some springs or coilovers and when its time to get new tires, get the recommended size.

Your wheels look really nice!

Good looking rims... sorry about the gap

I'm trying to keep my gap from looking to large too. That's why I started the "fattest tires on a 19 inch rim" thread. Hopefully this thread can provide others who do not wish to lower their Z the proper setup for a tight looking ride

This is the fun part of owning a Z, a lot of mods are trial and error.
I mean I could have gone out and bought a Jag, Vette, Porsche, M3 or some AMG for 2 to 3 times as much and all of this would have been taken care of for me. But what fun is that?

lol. im hopin the springs will settle after some driving. i have 275 30 in the rear, but that's just 1inch diff to 35s. so who knows. we'll see how it goes...and if it really bugs me, i'll lower the car and say bye bye to my front lip. lol
