Default Tire Size

I have rays track wheels on my car......can anyone tell me what are the largest sized tires I can install that won't screw up VDC or the Speedo?

I'm looking for a high performance tire.....but quieter than these Re040 OEM tires...and I have the S-tune suspension

Thanks in advance

I used 245/40-18 front and 255/45-18 rear TOYO T1-s, but I didn't like how tall the rear tire was... looked like a truck tire

So, I swithed to 245/40-18 front and 255/40-18 rear Bridgestone SO2s... they look better

You might be able to squeeze a 275/40-18 on the rear wheel, but the recommended wheel width for a tire that wide is about 10" and the minimum recommended is 9".

don't get the SO2 if you want a quiet tire... maybe the SO3 or Michelin Pilot Sport... I've used the Pilot Sport on a different car and they were good... I've never used the SO3

Hope that helps,
PeteH

Everyone seems to like the S03's and the Pilot Sports...I hear Goodyear has a tire out that works well on our cars..

you can go pretty big I've had 295/35/19 rear. All you need to keep in mind is that diameter difference has to be between 1/2" - 3/4" from front tire to rear tire (front tire being the smaller of the two) for ABS and VDC to work properly.
these are Nissan's guide lines.

the difference in my tires is .77 inch just over the .75 Nissan recomends and everything works fine. Although some people who have over 1" difference or identical diameter on front and rear have complaint of ABS and VDC not working proplerly.
