hey tyler
actually my wheels arent 3 piece..they just have the rivets for looks
they did have to remove the rivets but the spokes were still and always will remain welded to the dish
it woulda been much easier for them to do the job if it was a 3 piece cause they had to remove the rivets anyway...and if it was 3 piece they wouldnt have had to mask the lip while sprayin on the powdercoat
there is actually a person on this forum that took apart the face of his 3 piece GTC's...he said it was frighteningly easy to remove
i couldnt really answer your question since im not 3 piece..but im sure if it was they would know how to re-assemble it safely

Those look great - I've been thinking about getting the GTC's, but the more and more I see I-forged, the more I'm liking the cleaner look - they have a new style called the "Classic" that looks just like the HRE 547R (split five spoke) that would look sweet in gunmetal on my car - I've been quoted a pretty good deal from Paul, so I just might have to jump on these now...
NiCCe! I'm deciding whether or not I should pwdercoat my rims a darker color. BTW, do you know a place in the NYC area that does powdercoating? How much? The place I went to, wants $125 just to powdercoat a rim. Thanks in adv.

ive seen the "classic" on the porsche in their gallery..i like themm...i was also a big fan of the gt-c's and i was about to sell these for the volks but im glad i stuck with them
Queenz--im assuming you went to wheels america or something like that...a lot of places like the idea of $125 flat rate for fixing and refinishing...but it obviously doesnt pay to do it for just a powdercoat
theres GOTTA be powdercoaters in the area...if i were you i woould call custom bike shops to ask if they can recommend anyone..

NICE!!. I just ordered some 20 inch axis se7en mods and I know for sure that I will powercoat them black. I live in San Antonio. Do you know of anyone here or near me that would do it for less then what you paid. Thanks and your car is looking SWEAT>
I liike the rims a lot. Ur at rutgers huh? MY sister is a freshman there and plays lacrosse. Shes insanely good. I'll be up there next weekend to stay with a buddy. He has a dark blue e36 m3 with bbs wheels/carbon fiber hood, lots of other mods...u might have seen it. He said he's seen ur car driving around. Someone just nailed his back bumper so thats an easy way to spot him unfortunately lol

damn that sucks...may have seen his car..sounds sweet
im sure there are places that can powdercoat for less locally but i cant help you with that cause those places usually dont have websites or they dont specialize in wheels so its hard to find them
in your case you should just find any powdercoating place b/c yours are brand new and dont need any fixing

I've been looking for the thread with your car with new wheels. I finally got to see it. Nice indeed! Congrats!
I'm still debating on putting a front license plate. Are you going to put one?
