Default Where to buy tires

I'm looking to replace the stock tires on my 06 touring (26k miles...). I've looked around the site for thoughts on various tires, and that's been helpful.

However, I'm not sure where to purchase. I know tirerack.com is a great resource and seems to have great pricing, but I have no idea how much it costs to have tires mounted, etc. once I get them here. I know I can call around (and I will) for mounting pricincg, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with places like NTB, or any other tire specialty retailers where I could drive in and do the whole thing there. It seems like this is going to cost a whole lot more (unless the mounting/balancing is very expensive) if I don't use tirerack...

If this has been posted I haven't seen it and would appreciate being directed there!

Thanks!

Just shop around. Discount Tire is a good resource and they might have locations near you.

Wherever you go you just want to make sure they don't scratch the hell out of your wheels.

Depending on your wheel size/style of mount and geographic location, it could easily be in the $100+ range to mount and balance a set of 4 wheels/tires.

Check Tire Deals For Less.com; they are a vendor here so contact them to get a better quote. The key is "SHOP AROUND".

OnlineTires is a good source, with some of the lowest prices available. I just ordered a set of Falken Azenis RT-615 for my '91 Miata at $60/tire.

Go to local car events. I went to the Barrett-Jackson auction in Vegas recently and they hooked me up on a set of FALKEN FK's for CHEAP!

I gotta agree.

I love how tire rack has a special deal with customs and Canadians are not charged extra fees!
