Default 06 350z Track, 49k, Blk, Tasteful Mods

**Found the car I want. Make me some offers, the worst I can say is no. I'm still pretty firm on price but willing to talk.

Hey Everyone. I'm thinking about selling my Z. The ONLY reason for selling is I want a very specific car, hence the FT part of the prefix.

Couple of things before you continue reading:
I am very firm on the price, so please do not ask me to lower it- I know what my car is worth and if I don't get what I'm asking I'll just keep it.
The Title is salvaged. The car was in a side-impact collision and sent to Nissan to be repaired. I have owned the car for about a year now and this is my second Z - I can't see or feel any difference between my first non-salvaged Z and this one, in fact, my friends all comment how much better this one drives.

If you're still interested, please read on!

2006 Track
Rev-up
49k Miles

Mods:
JWT Street Clutch & Flywheel (put in by dealer 1 year ago @ 38k miles)
MREV2 (installed about a month ago)
Motordyne 5/16 Spacer (installed about a month ago)
SRS 3" y-pipe-back Exhaust (purchased 5/24)
Injen Short Ram (purchased 8/1)
Eibach Sport Springs (installed in January)
Varrstoen 19x9.5/10.5 - Anthracite & Clear Coated (purchased around 3/1)

Audio:
Pioneer AVIC z120BT - Nav, BT, DVD, i-everything, USB (2 months old)
Alpine SWR-T10 (Type R) (1 month old)
Performance Technique 500w bridged amp (1 month old)

All mods/audio were purchased new except MREV2 (from fellow forum member) and wheels. Wheels WERE in absolute mint condition until I was cut off a couple weeks ago and brushed a curb (passenger side). I have a quote for $100 per wheel from local mobile wheel repair shop. The scuffs are not bad at all, just annoying.

Just put new tires on the front. Now all 4 corners are Nitto NT555. Rears have at least 85% tread left.

There are a couple door dings on the passenger side.
The interior is in great condition minus a few scuffs on the cubby door from the shop that installed the head unit and the driver's door handle.

Any questions let me know.
Best way to get in touch is by text (text only please) @ 949-510-8099
or shoot me a PM

Price:
$16,500 with everything listed above
$15,500 without Audio (stock will be put back in)

Really? The first thing I thought after seeing the first picture, before reading anything was that the door and fender had been repainted.

Sweet looking Z though.

Nice car, does a salvage title mean the same thing in CA as it does in NC?

Not sure. Basically it means the insurance company didn't want to pay the repair costs and cut a check to the owner for the value so they could auction the car "as-is". If they think they will lose less money doing it this way, they just report the car as "totalled" and then you get a salvage title.

Example:
Car hit in front - repair costs totalling $10k
Car was worth $15k
Could be auctioned for at least $6k in "wrecked condition"

Cut check to owner for $15k, get a minimum of $6k back making total loss for insurance company $9k instead of $10k, boom - Salvaged.

This is what the dealer I bought it from told me:
Driver's side impact towards the front. Door, fender, wheel and a few suspension parts were replaced (headlight also perhaps, can't remember). All service was done by Nissan. No engine components were damaged or replaced.

Again, this is what the dealer told me. It drove perfectly so I had no other reason to get crazy with checking - it's a Salvage Title so I knew what to expect.

Not sure why i didn't put this in the original post, but here's a milage verification pic I took the day I posted the ad. Obviously a few more miles since this is my daily.

Should be a rebuilt title, not a salvage. Salvage titles are not legal to be on the road.

You should probably do some research before making a statement like that in someone's sale thread.

Why would a Salvaged vehicle not be allowed on the road? The DMV issued the Salvage title, and the DMV sent me a bill for registration, and I paid the DMV to register the car - with a Salvage title.

Unless the DMV is some sort of anti-law abiding state run entity, I think the thousands of us with Salvage titled vehicles are probably ok.

in certain states you can not register a vehicle with salvage title. you have to get a rebuilt, or restored salvage title before you can register it. California is not one of those states. so say you wanted to register it here in Arizona you would have to schedule an appointment at the DMV pay 375.00 for a level 3 inspection and get a rebuilt title before you could register it here.

Ok? Obviously not in my state, therefore the comment was completely unnecessary and should not have been posted.

So are you in the market for a Z or do you just lurk around other people's sale threads hoping to have a chance to sound like a know-it-all?

You know what, when I look close I can see what you are talking about.

Thanks for the super awesome input on something most people wouldn't see or probably wouldn't care about. Hope you feel better about being such an awesome guy.

I will definitely keep an eye out for any future sale thread of yours.

I get it, sarcasm.

So you, who have zero interest in buying a Z, say something completely unnecessarilly negative, and I am supposed to say "thanks for the input, you really helped my sale"?

Sorry for calling you out on being a *****. Honesty sucks sometimes.

I will give the VIN to serious buyers, just didn't want to post it so publicly. If anyone who is in the market and interested in my car wants it, please pm me.

Thanks.
