Toys R Us refuses to sell Hot Wheels at MSRP
I went to Toys R Us to shop for a 350z and the general manager refused to let me look at the car. I said how do you expect me to buy it if I can't look at it?
He said if I didn't want it, someone else would buy it.
He also added $5 to the $25 dollar MSRP, explaining that it was a "hot model."
Do you think if I complain to Mattel, they will do something? Also, do you think that Hot Wheels will come out with a convertible model soon?

HAHAH.
perhaps you can barter with him, say if you buy a Barbie, to get the Z at cost?
just go to another Toys R us. Sheeze. or just wait like a month. the hype for it, just like the AutoArt will die down.

Mattel can’t legally influence an independent distributor’s (i.e. Toys R Us) pricing…to do so would run afoul of antitrust legislation.
They’re simply trying to balance supply and demand as all good capitalists do. If ya don’t like it, shop elsewhere or wait for the hype to die down!
