Of course the STI instills confidence, with its AWD and electronics helping you get around corners, its will likely be the faster car for 90% of the non driving population. It doesnt mean its faster in the hands of a competent driver though. I really like that 06' body style btw, very clean.

i think that if you are just comparing cars stock to stock is kinda closed minded...I like looking at the car and seeing the potential it has. yes any car has potential to do anything but most of us don't just leave the car stock. you put a 350z an sti and a 240sx together. of course the 240 stock is slower ugly and old. but I think a well built highly modded 240 looks and would be a more fun car to drive then a well modded sti. that's just my opinion though.

I do think the STI is ugly and I hate the boxter engine they run. But the EVO is proven power over and over again. if you can make 1100+ hp on pump gas that says alot and plus the 4G63's stock crank is rated for 600 horsepower. Thats a monster of a car because it also turns vary well. The reason I'm buying a 350z is because on my $16500 budget I cant get a nice evo.

o too funny, went to a local meet here last summer, and i swear to god, there was 7 subarus out of 15 cars, and all they did was stand there in a little crowd as everyone picked them apart! i had quite a chuckle.

Would you trade your Z for an STI? That's the real question.
Almost did last summer. Drove an STi that had a cobb ap at stage 2, was so much fun. But in the end, I couldn't part with my Z, so I bought myself a WRX for the winter.

I don't think the STI looks bad at all. Of course having a Z I am going to be a bit bias.

I have to say the guy running on the Boulder Highway this morning in the black STI was an idiot. He was not doing any good for the image of the STi owners. Enough said.

i honestly like em both (not wagons) i just like one more than the other, especially lowered.
300hp, 3300lb awd sedan/wagon vs 300hp, 3300 lb coupe sports car. you decide.
+ i like to be able to drive sideways not wear my hat sideways.

This right here is how I feel...silly STI's love to rev up and launch from red lights on me, not knowing that by the time they hit 80 I'll have surpassed them and won't be looking back :P
A buddy of mine got me looking at STI's, AFTER he sold me my 350z!
Both are awesome cars.

I completely agree, its just 2 different cars for 2 different style of driving.
I like the appearance of a Z much more than a STI, and I enjoy putting it sideways around corners instead of being in complete control the whole time, like you would be in an STI. I just get a bigger rush at a 45 degree angle.
Also, I would rather have a 400+whp rwd car than a 300+ whp awd car.
Why? Hell if I know. Just what Im interested in.
At the end of the day, I would drive an STI everyday, just like I drive my Z.
I don't knock em, they're great, quick, reliable, cars.

What do you mean 400WHP? Do you mean after mods or something?

Lol, there are a lot of ignorant people on both sides. Why can't you appreciate both for what they do?

My personal opinion is that the scooby has more of a monstrous feeling lol, but the Z looks better and is a pretty bad-*** car as well. I appreciate both for what they do. They both sound and feel different, and I love both. Totally different cars.
I couldn't pick one over the other.
