They make you taller, but they hellamega suck for driving unless you're just cruising around! That said, NOTHING fits like a well-made and properly worn-in pair of cowboy boots!!

I drive a Roadster, so I obviously prefer it to the coupe. I didn't buy it to get compliments, but I frequently do. Drive both and decide if the convertible is enjoyable enough to spend the extra money initially and on upkeep. I wouldn't trade mine for a coupe, but I park it indoors and the weather is good enough most of the year to drive with the top down. I also DIY everything except alignments, so that keeps the upkeep costs down for me.
As for automatic vs. manual in a roadster, I had a hell of a time finding an HR(07+), manual roadster. The automatics for sale outnumbered the manuals about 4 to 1. In the end, I'm glad I found my 07, manual, enthusiast roadster.
There is no base model roadster, it starts at the enthusiast model, which means you'll get a limited slip rear end no matter what you buy. I don't think I'd want the touring or grand touring just because of how unbearable black leather would be in a convertible in the summer, unless you could find one with the "frost" interior(good luck). I understand the 370z has cooled seats available, I would consider leather if I ever decided to buy a 370z Roadster.

I was driving my Z a few weeks ago and some elderly lady pulled-up next to me at the light.
"I used to have an old Datsun Z. I love your car" she said.
"Thanks"
"I love the sloping lines of the roof. It's what makes the car"
"I know, right!"
"Good thing you didn't get the convertible. We didn't have those back in my day but it makes the Z look like ****"
O_o

The other day a hot girl told me my car made her want to take her clothes off. I guess you win.

Well I just wanted to say hello and introduce my vert driving douchey self to everyone. I'm apparently teh gays because I drive a roadster. 2007 Touring manual. At least i think its a touring. From what i have read, everything points to touring except I have TCS not VDC. I think it was an option for the roadster to have VDC.
anyways, I like the coupe look, always have. There's just something cool about the vert when the top is down. I love it, straight pipes aside (too raspy up top), and I am in hot humid Florida.
I actually wonder if the previous owner is on one of these forums. I'd like to know what all has been done to it that I haven't noticed yet. And why he put a vinyl black stripe down the middle of the car and removed it from the trunk lid only?
Yes I know it needs a drop. the previous owner put 275/30/19's on the back so im almost 5% off on my speedometer. It makes the wheelgap even worse. I just got it. Lots to do but for now...Im out.

I love my roadster, coupe looks sexier with all those line but a nicely modded roadster with the top down is sexier. IMO. I'm biased though. Plus if you have a turboed roadster you can hear those swooshing sounds even better
