Default Beginner Drifter in 350z

I want to turn my stock 350z into a drift car. I have Tein coilovers in the front and the Tein shocks and springs in the back. My stock 350 doesnt have an LSD (Limited slip differential) so I am thinking about getting the Nismo LSD or thinking about a locker so that I can turn it on and off.

It's a daily driver

I will be a beginner at drifting but I really want to learn and plan on only practicing in open areas where I won't hit anything.

I know a lot of people have told me I should start with a 240sx but I really want to drift my 350 (I know)---->

Please give me your opinions and what you think I should get for my 350z. As of now I have been sliding around in the rain just to get used to the car being sidewayz.

.....and i'm a girl..... lol

If you upgrade your lsd you are probably going to blow your differential bushing in your sub frame. I know because this happened to me about 2 months ago. Now I don't drift my car but you will increase the strain on the rubber bushings so I would recommend upgrading your bushings to polyurethane bushings throughout drive line. Do polyurethane engine mounts and poly trans mount too. I went with solid differential mounts and there is increased nvh but it isn't that bad if you go with poly sub frame mounts. You get a little bit of noise from the solid differential mounts at low rpms, usually when you are slowing down when you need to downshift but it really doesn't bother me and I daily drive my car. Oh and it makes a whinning sound between 40mph to about 55mph but it really isn't that loud that would cause you not to drive the car.

You must have a spacious kitchen if there's enough room for all that drifting in there.

Phenom= best comment of the year award.

Keep the drifting on the track. That way if anything bad happens you won't catch sh*t here for trying to drift through a spiraled drive way to the top of a parking garage in an epic battle to defeat DK and regain your honor and get the girl of your dreams.

That's a lot of stress & tear & wear on a daily. I would highly recommend having two cars for this hobby. As far as starting off with a S13 that's a bunch of Mumbo Jumbo. As long as you have LSD's and a good suspension setup you'll do great! Make sure you buy some really good LSD's not viscous or anything stock. Trust me, you'll notice the difference like night and day. Good Luck Drifter Girl!
