I have had more women of all ages say they love the car or your car is so sick depending on age of women. This car will get more meat than any car I have owned hands down. You guys can go on forever on what 1's the best. I for 1 do not like all the crap that needs maint on the gtr. What about when it get a few yrs old ? Where the zo6 is nice and simple but all the power you can handle on the hwy. It will get to about 180mph in a mile I know this first hand and thats without going hard at starting from a dead stop or ramming the gears hard to shift. Plus this car is as low as you would ever want to the ground. It will pull about a G in a turn without pushing it. All this and a average MPG of 22 over 5k of miles. With the rumble of the v8 without the mufflers is sweet and all you have to do is flick the switch and it's quiet .

If you're a real car enthuasist you'll appreciate both cars, both are high performance car, I'll take the Z06 though because of its fine line and power to weight ratio stock.

I would take the new Zo6 best bang for the buck. The GTR is over rated and most of all way over priced. And it would take less $ to put more power in a Zo6 then that damn GTR...

I cant decide between the two , they both have negatives that would keep me away from them. R35 is a rare car but it's computer controlled too much. The Z06 looks hot and has great performance but I'd feel like I joined a bunch of old people. I mean how many times do you see a corvette owner being under 40 ?

Most of all keep in mind how much the value will hold on the two cars after 5 years.

If you plan on keeping this purchase for a long time. I would go GTR all the way.IMO. But heck with you know who in office there might not be anymore gas burning cars on the road or very few. We might all be driving cars with winded up rubber bands under the hood.

Good luck on what ever you decide they are both magnificent cars.

You need to drive a GT-R it is truly a stunning performance car and it might change your thoughts on it being over priced.

That being said, I've loved Vettes since I was a kid and the C6 Z06 is an incredibly tempting car.

when they first priced out the GTR's starting @ $69K remember those days?
..easily would have said GTR > than Z06 well at least for the $$ and bang for the buck..but now with majority of 2010 GTR's priced over 80K (discounted) while Z06's high 60' low 70Ks (discounted) its not so clear...I like them both but for my money one is easier on the pockebook.

it really depends on what you are looking for

I think the gtr is the better all around car

the zo6 is the better pure sports car

you can DD a gtr even in the snow

try that with a zo6 and prepare to call you insurance claims person

used gtr's are now hitting sub 70k and in a few months once the 2010 really hit the market hard (new/used) then the 09's will be much more reasonable in price

I don't know which one I would choose

If you say you would choose one over the other based on feel (ex gtr is too much like a video game!) w/o test driving either then simply you are a moron. no compromises if you think you can judge a car based on a magazine review or speculation then you should leave the car scene and never come back. You never know how a car is gonna feel until you have driven it.

more power, lol like 200whp more.... and i would take the GTR, but i would have to put the first 20 miles on the engine... lol

Wasn;t the GTR 3 seconds slower on the ring? in other racing the vette would walk it with its top end.

ZR1 = 3100lb.est 505whp - (give on break in) vs a 3850lb heavy handling beast.. w/408 whp... zo6 has better power to weight ratio but the GTR handles well..

so umm, i say more power and or i would just buy it and mod it, the hell with breaking the tranny hahahahaha

2001 porsche 911 turbo for 40k + 20k Sharkwerks GT660 (hp) kit > zo6 or gtr

then put 10k into the suspension (coilovers, sways, braces) then u have a 911 turbo that will molest a gtr in every way possible as well as a z06 for about the same price as a new z06 or used gtr

but in all seriousness

GTR for daily driver and fun

Z06 for track car

sry i'm a nissan guy through and through and I havn't driven either the z06 or the gtr so this might be ignorant but I would bet money that the zo6 is a more fun car to drive.

this arguement about z06 vs GTR can go on forever! It just comes down to preference.
I've driven both an '08 z06 and a GTR...guess which one I picked?

idk you can get a used Z06 for 40-50 g's thats a damn good deal. there are 06's going for 40g's. not everyone has gtr money. 40g's is nismo 370z money and your getting a 7.0L V8 chucking out 505bhp in a legit bid to make a corvette a supercar. If you have gtr money you could toss some of that into the Lingenfelter build (3 year engine warranty) for 10gs and have an N/A 660 hp beast

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjYQS...eature=related

and you could have one of the meanest sounding cars ever

a PURE sports care wouldnt have back seats, you can easily mod the z06 and make it faster than the gtr, if i had kids i would get the gtr though, i love its exclusivity and practicality just not the arm and a leg for an oil change
