My Latest Findings...350Z Touring 2003
Well, this MAY be it. I found an 03 Touring Silver with 28K Miles. They are asking 23,500 but I want to offer 21K for it. Does that sound like a fair offer?
I'm really torn between it. I wanted at least an 04.5 but those have issues too. I've been to almost all the dealers out here and can't make a deal on an 06 for whatever reason.
How does the 03 sound??

Should I be concerned with replaced tranny's, recalls not being done, etc. I was thinking of calling 1800-NISSAN-1 to have them check into it with the vin but maybe I am being too cautious?
If it looks clean, I am going to make the offer. (can anyone check a vin for me? JN1AZ34E73T016722)
****Edit**** Well, I called NissanUSA and they confirmed that the fuel system recall was done -- that's it. I'm just concerned on the tranny issues now. I am going to drive it and see if it grinds into any gear. Any advice? Thanks, guys.

im in the same position as you. I called NISSAN about the service records they dont know nothing about the tranny. All they could tell me was some fuel recall, thats it.
Make sure the car has a good warranty left. Then go drive the car and check the tranny. Thats all you can do.
The nissan dealer the car was maintained at should have the records, but every nissan dealer has its own fairy tale.

Yeah, they also said that I could take it in for a dealer ''vehicle check". I guess I can find out which dealer he used and look into it.
It seems like a gamble buying used but it's prob the same buying new. I will have to check to see if he has an extended warranty.
If there is no warranty left, does anyone know if the TSB's will be taken care of anyway by the dealer? What about the tranny. Isn't that covered under the powertrain warranty?
