New.. Looking for good vibes
Hey I'm new to the forum an as well a 350z owner! I've been into the z world for awhile as I still have a 300zx which I love an have been wanting a 350 ever since an finally got my hands on one I liked.... But. It's a big but though, I got my hands on a 04 Daytona blue touring coupe fully loaded with 100k miles in pretty decent shape for 6k... Couldn't really pass. Pretty good Eh? Sadly it's auto an it's killing me, I love everything about the car just that I miss the feel of control. Just been looking an hoping there's some plus sides to it being a auto before I dump some serious money into it??

Welcome and congrats on your Z buy. Daytona Blue is a great color and it sounds like you got a steal of a deal. Regarding the auto, if there's much traffic in Greenville , SC you've got the right tranny for stop-and-go congestion!

I was on the hunt for a manual 350z for months... It almost seemed like every 6MT 350z I checked out was either out of my budget, had high miles for my liking and/or abused to hell... My patience was gone and I came to the realization that a decent quality 6MT 350z coupe is getting a lot harder to find - 6MT roadsters as well, but not as hard to find... You can find automatic roadsters EVERYWHERE. But I got my hands on a beautiful black 2008 5AT Touring coupe and couldn't be happier. Just because it's an auto, doesn't mean you shouldn't mod it... it's YOUR car!

Be careful of what you're digging in. The six-speed manual tranny was, and is, a joy to use in the Z. They're reliable if used and maintained properly. The auto five-speed trannys are geared lower so they feel quick, but will overheat in extended performance driving (like at the track) and are not as quick or efficient in general.

Ha not right away even though I'm not impressed with this rims either but there in great shape when I bought it so I'll keep them for awhile. Hmm just upgrading the things that are rough 1st like the radio is next.. got the common problem of not working when it's cold.

That color in stock form = best looking 350Z, IMO.

1st the rims came on it as did the grill which are ok, the lip i just installed bc it has some major paint chips and that was a cheaper route to go then paint. I can't stand the eyelids and haven't figured out how to get it off the lights without replacing them and I'm working with a budget. There isn't any plastic dip I painted the emblems and handles bc all black looks a lot better then half silver half black.
