THANK YOU! This is exactly what I was looking for! Someone with the product to comment! Thank you!
I also had experience with Megan stuff for 240's. Was not impressed AT ALL. Megan Racing is garbage. Fact. Sure it doesn't snap and break off, that's great, but I expect more out of parts I'm shelling out good money for.
$2800 is a lot to spend on something that hasn't been proven to work well (other than that guy that was banned, not too credible). And honestly if you're not racing the car on a track there is no point. Why not get a nice front brake kit rather than getting a mediocre kit for front and rear?

anyways.. i drove a car before with these brakes on them and it shocked me.. took a few minutes to get used to them but they became my favorite.. and this price for these brakes are unbelievable.
why? just because he got banned from THIS forum.. that doesnt mean hes not credible.. show me one customer that has anything negitive to say about him.

Of course no customers said anything negative about them. It would be super depressing to face reality, so naturally they'd say how great the brakes are.
And when you say these brakes are your favorite, just how many big brake kits have you "tested"? I'm not trying to be mean here, I just have yet to see a single reputable review of the PERFORMANCE of these brakes. Track tested? No. Enough said.

I have a set of these brakes and same thing as everyone I was expecting crappy worksmanship. The only reason I got them is a good friend traded his Z and he can me a retarded deal on the setup. As we were installing the brakes slowly my thoughts changed when I saw the parts. The looked extremely well built but still I had bad thoughts. Exactly 8 months later I can say I have had ZERO problems at all. The brakes held up well even with all the abuse I throw at them. The Megan coilovers I hear are not good but on the flip side those who ACTUALLY have them say good things about them. So it's up to you what you get but IMO the BBK setup from Megan is just fine no issues whatsoever. It's a good price and you can't beat 2 piece rotors and the massive calipers both in front and in rear. The picture below has the kit installed however the previous owner had them powder coated to match his Redline Z. Fallen if you do get them please post up a review for us.

Nice...
CLIFF NOTES, the metal megan uses for it rotors is soft *** crap. I also checked out the other car out here with the same brakes, its hardly drivin and the rotors are forming a nice lip already.
Also keep in mind- terrasmak has Megan parts as well, so it's not a company bashing, just the specific brakes.

It is a symptom of many BBK's because of the fixed caliper. I honestly don't know why my car does it, but it has to be something with with hub and the wheel bearing. The fix to this? Simply tap the brakes when leaving a corner, as it says in that article.
Now regarding the lip I have on my rotors, I honestly don't know enough about metal/rotors or brakes period to really help that subject. I have had the brakes since last September, with about 16-18k miles on them so far. Roughly half the length of time I've had my car. This includes 1 track day, daily driving and I think 4 autocrosses. I was talking to Scott and he doesn't think it is so bad with the rotor, and I can just go get them turned and get rid of the lip. With my stock brakes I had roughly the same amount of miles and the front rotors had warped with just regular street driving. The rear rotors do not have a lip, it is just the front. It is time for me to replace my pads though and get the rotors turned. My pads are getting low.
I'm no brake expert or anything, but for the price and what I got I think these brakes are great. I'd buy em again if I had to.
I've never personally been a fan of Wilwood. I would say the same about Rotora up until a month ago.
The car I was racing in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill was equipped with a 6piston front 4piston rear Rotora BBK and it not only lasted the entire race, but won it's class (E0) and finished 2nd overall.
After the race, these brakes really impressed me. I never thought I would say that about Rotora, but apparently their engineering and R&D deptartment recieved a big investment and influx in cash and they make pretty darn good products IMO.
I'd say get the Brembo 6-piston Monoblock calipers. But if those are too much, take a look at Rotora's 6piston 2pc caliper. I was impressed with it:
