Anyway to tell if viper antenna is dead?
I just programmed my new remote and everything seems to be working but when I try to transmit a command it beeps like antenna not found.
Could it have even programmed itself if the antenna was bad?

Sounds highly unlikely to me, but I'm not an alarm expert. Any chance it's a pairing issue?

Sometimes you can place the antenna in valet mode, hold the button down for a couple secs with the ignition on, but car off. THen restart.
Model number of viper?
Does it unlock the doors? Lock?
I don't exactly understand your issue.
Edit. It may not be programmed correctly. Ensure you have a blue light on your antenna, if so there is power and it is live.
