Self powered subwoofer connections
Hello,
Here's my story.. 2004 Roadster Touring. Originally with Bose w/o Navi. Swapped out head unit with Pioneer Avic 8000. Professionally installed. Bose sub amp died once and replaced it. This one has now crapped out. Want to bypass Bose sub amp and subwoofer with my Sound Ordnance self powered subwoofer model B-8PTD. In the pic is the stock Bose sub woofer harness to the Bose sub amp. In the background is the Sound Ordnance connections. I've checked the Crutchfield wiring and I can't be certain which is what. Red hot, black ground...
Not shown in the pic is where the stock harness connects to the Stock Bose subwoofer. Help? Thanks ahead of time

Straight to the H/U will allow you to use the low-level (RCA) inputs, which are preferred to the high level (speaker) inputs. Also, I'm sure the AVIC has sub controls built in... selectable low pass, sub volume, etc... Won't be able to use those with the factory harness.
