Today i decided to do the rear spring mount mod. i drive a 2004 350z

lowered on tanabe gf210 springs (stock struts, etc.)

it took me about 2 hours considering i did it by myself. like everyone else had stated, the hardest part was cutting the spring mounts, lol.

i didn't take pictures of the cut springmounts but i literally cut as much as i could without the mount being completely flat (hard to describe, hopefully you understand what i mean)

it's honestly not as low as i thought it was going to be.. im not sure if it has to resettle or anything but i think it looks pretty good (until i purchase coilovers)

Much much better bro! IMO the stance of the car is spot on. Of course coilovers will allow the most adjustability...but for the time being....it looks really gooooood

thanks! yeah it'll be a while before i get coilovers. but im pretty satisfied with this. i think i need to get my fenders rolled though (at least my rears) when i got over a speed bump i can feel my tires scrape..

Much better, that booty was sky high in the before pic! Any way you could take another pic in the same location and angle for comparison purposes? Either way, better results than most ive seen.

Definitely roll em. Its pretty easy to do. I still rub though....then again im tucking 285s and refuse to raise the car. Lol.

Lookin at ur car inspired me to order the same front lip. I threw mine on and fitment isnt as nice as urs.

Looks like you have the wrong size rear tires, if you had the proper tires you would not have had the extra gap. Post your tires sizes OP.

That tire size works fine, but it is almost an inch shorter than stock, causing more gap. Why didn't you run a 265/35 front, it is a better match to a 285 rear?

I had a pretty hard time finding matching sizes and these popped up and looked perfect. But the front wasnt the problem, it was the rear. But maybe when new tire time comes around I'll just grab some new spring mounts and get meatier rear tires.

either way...your current setup does not look bad at all. with the spring mount mod....it honestly looks fine.

Looks nice! I'm in the process of installing those springs on my 06 Z. Just did the rear suspension this past weekend along with the SPC toe/camber kit. I'll be doing the front in the next month or so (car is garaged for the winter).

thanks! and yeah the rear was surprisingly easy considering how mechanically inclined i am, lol.. i have heard the fronts are a lot harder. but good luck!

The rears were pretty simple. The SPC kit took the longest of all the work. Looking forward to tackling the front soon!

Full tank = lower than empty

right i know.. i'd say somewhere around 3/5 of a tank. little over half.
