Default Help with buying 350z 2003 parts

Hey guys just signed up to the forum and am thinking about purchasing a 2003, Z.

Would love to get your input on a couple of things.

I'm considering buying a 350z that has a single turbo and other various aftermarket parts.

However I have to do a few repairs on the Z. The previous owner was clocking some 250km down the express way, spun out of control and damaged some particular parts.

I'm told by the mechanic I need the following:

- Spindle Suspension
- Upper Suspension (Left and Right)
- Rotor Discs
- Brake Pads
- Tail Light (Left & Right)
- Side Mirror (Left & Right)
- Wiper Arm (Left & Right)

My plan with the car is to install a Veilside V3 kit, given that most of the front and side bumpers are already damaged.

-------------------------------------------

I haven't bought the car yet, as I am still sourcing out how much these extra parts will cost along with factoring in the labour. Labour is actually fairly cheap from where I'm from (Philippines, Quezon City).

What is the best place to source parts. I'm currently in Australia at the moment. Doesn't have to be from here, I'm happy to shop anywhere as long as I can get the parts I need at a fair price.

Given the extent of the damage on the car, what do you think would be a reasonable price to offer. I was thinking around 10 grand AUD.

The cars current setup is as followed (I'm not exactly sure on the exact item of some of the parts).

- Car has been dyno'd at 420 HP

- Single Turbo Kit from Turbonetics along with intercooler and wastegate.

- Defi Gauges.

- Coilovers - Tein

- Clutch - Single Plate Exedy

- Oil Coolers - HKS

- Exhaust - HKS Twin Type Cat Back.

Thanks
Jase

Just run away. Only looking for trouble buying a used turbo'd car and it's been wrecked. You have secerL thousand alone on finding the passenger side rear quarter and any frame damage in that corner.

Won't the veilside kit replace the rear ?

I think there is a little bit of structural damage, which can be popped out I'm told.

If say the thing could be fixed, what would be your offer on it given the current mods ?

My offer for it would barely be 2,000. No, the kit won't cover it up nor do you want to cover it up. That car won't drive or look straight if it's not fixed right.

Set your emotions aside, think clearly, and walk away from that car. No telling what you'd be getting into, but I can guarantee it won't end well.

This could quite end up being a total money pit, time to walk away from it!

Hmm. I know it's risky. I can still manage to get his pretty cheap.

Other than the components I listed above. What other things should be looking out for. As for the body. I know I can have that up and back to shape pretty easy.

All the engine components are fine and starts very well.
