Another Way to get your LS2 / T56
A lot of questions came up about where to obtain an engine / trans for your conversion with a lot of good sources mentioned. I went another route and purchased an '06 GTO from Copart. I picked it up for $6700 about the same price as a drop out from LKQ or Ebay. I took a few months and located one with low miles (68K) was running and "drivable" and had a lot of salvageable parts. I have sold most of the parts that were removed and returned a little over 2K back in my pocket. The other advantage is that I know where every little wire went to and kept ALL the parts I might need or want as all of you know there are many ways to do the conversion. After pull everything off the car it was chopped and carried to the scrap yard for some more $$

CANBus is a standard as far as the data layers and signal interface, and perhaps even the addressing schema, but the actual address of the information might have to be remapped.
IF you wired the hall -effect sensors directly to the haltech you should be able to use the traction control feature. you would need an additional sensor on at least one wheel to indicate ground speed verses engine/transmission speed.
We had something close on the racecar, where we controlled boost by the front wheel speed sensor, car didn't have ABS though

Anyone know if the Sikky shifter has been updated? Ordered my kit before i saw the shifter issue, and don't wanna drill into it before I know it still needs to be done.

Figured I would drop this here since this thread has a good following. My car is officially up for sale. I'm waiting on my sale thread to get approved, but hopefully it will be up soon. I hate to see it go, but I'm getting ready to move soon and I have a lot of traveling in the next few months. Now's the chance to own the baddest LS Swapped Z out there

It'll be a sad day for me when the car is sold, but someone else will have an awesome Man Toy. We will definitely get together before I leave, Bryan. It's been too long.

Mann I absolutely love this thread I'm taking in all the info I can get. I'm in the process of buying a 350z and doing this build and I'm wondering if it matters if the 350z is an automatic or standard to do the swap? I would gladly appreciate the help thank u.

I will offer any advice and help I can. My car is still up and running solid, zero issues other than one I created myself when we changed from closed loop idle control to open loop, so it takes an idle dip coming off full throttle as it searches for the correct idle parameters.
Seeing Cmytailsblink Z for sale has my full attention ... hmmm.
