bumping an old thread here...

apparently this doesnt really work w/ 04.5+ Zs that are running TPs

I read all 9 pages and even w/ barillo pad stuffing the ses lights come back on? I havent read anything about hfc w/ ses in this thread, but mine came on about 300 miles after the install.

I bought a set of 18mm spark plug non foulers from oreillys and ill attempt to do this mod tomorrow. I see a couple of different codes here, so before ill install the "O2 fix" Ill post my engine codes for others w/my situation. Im really hoping this works. Either way my hats off to the OP for taking the time to make this thread, even if it was years ago

A lot of times the SES lights come on because of exhaust leaks.

Check the SES code and let me know.

If you have a catalytic inefficiency code I may be able to help.

Check for these codes.

I was wondering if its possible to space them too far? I have the megan racing test pipes, and it already has a "fix" which is an extended bung. It still threw a code p0037, which as you know is bank 1 sensor 2. So since it was already spaced i only put the long non fouler on and it worked for a few months. Now its coming back and everytime i clear it, the code comes back within a few miles. So can i put both non foulers like in the tutorial plus the megan spacer, will that be too far?

Buy a factory y pipe off line used or something and weld the stock resinator in the middle of your y pipe. Cut the straight section out and put it in there. I did that to mine after tps and headers and it sounds so good now. Took away the raspy sound.

Sorry for Highjacking and throwing these questions.

Sorry not ypipe off line. The piece after the y pipe is the one you need to get because that's where the factory resinator is at.

I have this same issue with my Berk tp's. The sensors are out of the exhaust stream would adding a fouler alleviate this issue? 06 revup.

Anyone know a surefire way to fix this issue on a 2007 with test pipes? My o2 sensors are blown anyway, I have the non-foulers drilled and ready to go once i get new ones, just curious if anyone has tried and knows if this will work with a 2007. I have a full megan exhaust and headers to add some addition info...if thats of any help.

did you solved your problem? I do have a 2006 with those megan's HFC's and the car threw me P0420 and 0430, which according to autozone, are the cat's. These megan's arent supposed to throw the CEL right??

Default 2005 Check Engine Light

So 2005 here. Megan TP.

Installed non-foulers (18mm. From Amazon
Amazon.com: Blox Racing BXFL-00108 Check Engine Light Eliminator Adapter: Automotive Amazon.com: Blox Racing BXFL-00108 Check Engine Light Eliminator Adapter: Automotive
) , CEL went away for about 100 miles then came back. I didn't reset ECU although I had cleared the codes out with my code reader. Ill check the codes to see if anything changes and then reset ECU and report back.

Good info in this thread.

Now I've got to figure out how to pass a smog test.... hmmm.

I don't think running RXP will make it run clean enough so unless I can find a shop to just 'pass' me like we've done before here, I suppose I'll have to throw the stock CATs back on for a hundred miles and then inspect and swap back to Megan TP.

Thoughts?
