Default 12/24mpg normal for art test pipes?

I've gotten some art test pipes installed in my 07 350z(no other mods) but I'm getting a lousy 12-13mpg on the street and a more expected 24 on the freeway.

Is that normal? I heard it only adds a couple of horse power. I like the raspy sound and the subtle power boost

I remember getting something like 17mpg on city streets with the oem cats.

It's probably cause you are using the right pedal a bit more and harder on the streets

Would that really cause that much of a MPG difference? I bet it's you just having fun on the street. I remember only getting like 13-14MPG in my tuned STI.

Would putting test pipes make your car burn more gas than my Evo running on an FPBlack that I beat the **** out of on a daily basis?

I highly doubt it.

Make sure your O2's are good.

I'm pretty light on the gas. I've been very strapped for cash since job loss so I'm driving like a grandma. Maybe the guy that did the install messed up somehow.
