I personally think they are futt-bugly. Why would you even get them if you aren't going to use the LED strip?

...I still have not decided if i even like them (pretty busy looking), but have 03-05, so:

1. true projector
2. no amber strip
3. work direct with factory HID
4. still deciding if look better

The question you should be asking is "why would someone buy them just FOR the LED strip?" being as its the only real big negative to this design.

I think they are still an upgrade from the 03-05 lights and a cheaper alternative to OEM 06+. In for installed pics.

these are all over the forum... i agree the chromed out ones look better than the black, but if youve seen that LED drl lit up, youd run for the hills.. its pretty terrible.

ALso, from the other thread on these ( from today btw haha) they do not work w HID equiped cars or accept an HID bulb ( ie aftermarket kits are gonna look like @ss thru these since no cut off on lenses)

Hope that helps man.. dont do it.

They are all over the forum? Didnt see but one thread over pages and pages of searching (one you refer to below i think). The intent was to NOT wire up that strip, so if they look horrible on ill never know it LOL.

"Fitment: 03-05 Nissan 350Z With Factory HID Models Only" < from ad

I didnt see any other thread today, the only i found was like 3-4 pages back. These DO work with factory HID's bro, check the ad. I think you are maybe confusing these i posted with these:

^ These are NON-HID only, and a different design.

yup, those be the ones. If they work w HIds more power to ya.

yeah, it was under new posts somewhere, may have been a few pages back,
I should have said that i READ several posts today... and yeah ive seen these specific lights on a ton of threads.. but regardless, wasnt complaining. ( hence the haha's)

I still think any of them look better than our old 05 versions do.. eesh.

so yea, the chrome look WAY the hell better right? The black ones are pretty scary.. chrome, not as much... way better for sure.

to be honest, I thought they had potential to be fairly cool if they were cracked open and simplified, more like the ones on the old Kenstyle kit pictures... you may wana google that and get some ideas for sure.

i say for 370 bucks you can surely be the ginuea pig and throw down on a set and post up some pics of what they can be made to look like for sure.

Ill need a spare set for when i send my 06 OEMs out for new HALOs soon anyways.

Ya, the problem with the black is that that the LED strip is still chrome, among other parts. too many different colors. The chrome are the better looking for sure, by far and away.

Still though, man im finding it hard to bring myself to buy anymore ebay light crap. I was one of the guys that was a part of the "ebay tails causing power loss" issues a year or two back. I hear you went through the same.

I'm thinking about rocking the smoked ones. Or just the clear ones. my 2003 headlights are fawked, and foggy as hell. I wish I could see a set installed to see fitment and light output.

I've never seen a projector that didn't have a cutoff shield. I bet an aftermarket bulb would work just fine, with cutoff, depending on how well the projector is designed and how well the bulb is designed. As long as the focal points are in the correct locations all should be good.

The only reason you have the impression that 'aftermarket kits' don't look good is because they are often times installed in reflector based headlamps with no cutoff designed into the beam pattern.

Anyway, I say try them... they look ok, certainly on par with 03-05 headlamps. As for performance... who knows. As for quality, who knows. Someone is just going to have to try them to get the feedback train rolling.

its not too bad but i wouldn't run the ghay led strip.
if your really concerned bout the look, i would just save up and search for a used set of 06-08 headlights. thats what i did and i don't regret it a second. give the Z a completely fresh/updated front look.

Posted these in the other thread. I like these the most as they are closest to OEM. I'd rather have 06+ OEM though. If I had 03-05 BASE non-hid and was on a budget I'd settle for these.

Edit: Not sure if these will work with OEM HIDs though.

I was lookin at these few days back as well. The smoked one with headlights eyelids would be a good combo IMO.

Ad says "Please Apply HID-D2R Light Bulb" means the bulbs being used are still for reflector type - '03-'05's. Unlike the true projector headlights, which use D2S.

Still.. I'd consider them. They look nice vs. my ugly, foggy '05's.

edit*
on second thought...

I swear... they have to put a fuking LED strip in everything...it's really pissing me off. That is strike 2 for ebay headlights.

I saw them on that car above and they look like chit simply because that LED strip. Would like to see the chrome or smoked still, though.
