i would do black accents on car.... you could prob wrap them in gloss black for cheap.

I agree. Not sure that's the clearcoat, the way it's bubbled and peeling.

OP, heat it up with a hairdryer and see if you can get it to peel off

def the clear coat. My 05 is doing the same thing on both sides. My buddy's is peeling as well. You can tell by how dull the paint looks

yeah its the clear coat. I tried the 3m Di-Noc I had sitting around on one of the mirrors and didnt like the look. I think my best bet is to pull them, sand them down, and paint.
