Well MCR does not make the hood in Carbon Fiber , AFAIK, correct me if I am wrong.

But I guess if someone wants an MCR hood and did not have the money , they might be quite happy for a less expensive replica.

I imagine someone with an MCR hood already , would not be pleased.

You don't want to anger the ballers. Bad things could ensue.

This is the actual product!! Fit meant you say? Guys am trying to help the community.

If you don't like the idea of replica why then the market place is full of them!! 90% of Z rolling replica body parts !! I don't understand this mentality!

If you don't like it go buy the original and good luck with the lead time.

All of the pictures below from the same shop I think his work stand for it self

One hood as an example is not a good indicator of how mass production will be. It's a knockoff made in Thailand which means little or inadequate QC which then means crappy consistency. You also have no idea how much additional work was required after the initial production run to make that hood fit correctly. Could have been zero or it could have been a ton. That's the caveat of parts made in third world countries.

i contacted these pple, the replica price is not that cheep, its around 1000 USD and the shipping to Bahrain which is closer to Thailand than USA is pretty expansive..

i already sell replica body-kits, one of the best selling items is the veilside front lips for 03 to 05 models i sell them for around 150 USD. i sold around 50 of those lips and never heard a fitment complain from a customer. i also sell GT86 and Genesis coupe Lip kits... also no issues.. i just sold first 350z rocket bunny full kit in Bahrain for around 1200 USD and also no issues. FRP replica cant go wrong if you do a solid mold.

Nothing is safe.... Well I guess the ballers know the truth. I mean who has money to let an authentic 1st hood just sit in his garage... Or can powdercoat volk rt's with no care.

The "ballers" know the fakers. You don't have to say a thing. We know

Nothing is sacred. Nothing is respected. You seriously don't know the time and work that went into making this piece. **** like this makes it hard for new parts to be made and ruins the future of the industry. Do you think these ******** in Thailand/DR/ECT are making new parts for our or other platforms? Not at all, just out to make a quick buck.

Lets get down to the important questions.... How much weight was saved from the FRP hood? If none then Gtfo with this stuff and I'll keep my authentic MCR hood

I highly doubt any weight was saved while keeping the strength in place. Either way, it doesn't matter - it's **** and whoever buys it sucks. lol

It does matter. If they improve upon the original product and can make it lighter and stronger, then guess what, its an improvement and its better than the original (supposing same fitment quality).
