Question help on winter project .. ??

Hi,

I'm looking for a shop that does custom single turbo kits for the 350z.
I planning on full engine build and and a full custom turbo kit.
I looking for a shop that is willing to do that.
I in fairfax county va will to drive any where "if there is a good deal"
"posted this over in the Mid-A thread" told me to go the F/I section..
any way, the kit that I'm trying to build is something with a GT37 or bigger.
planning to go with a 3.5l low comp 9:1, mild cams, etc.
any recommendations...... ??

"PLEASE DON'T TELL ME GET A POWERLAB KIT"
I'm looking for something diffident.
thanks

Definite dreamer thread...

If he was serious about getting this done he would already know who to contact.

So op, some questions for ya...lets pretend you are really serious about this.

Where do you plan to have the turbo mounted? Like the powerlab/turbonetics or a mid mount like the BP or do you want to go with a rear mount setup like STS?

What qualifies as a "good deal"? Are you trying to penny pinch a FI build that is CUSTOM?

Fast, cheap, reliable? Pick 2

Why a gt37? Power goals? Pump Gas? Race gas?

I have never figured out why people go with functional & proven parts

If your not about car shows then why a one of a kind

one of a kind = lots of $$$$$$, you already stated you are looking for a deal .

Boosted Performance sounds like the way to go for you.

I don't believe the information he's looking for is available on this forum... Might try a Honda forum.

simple answer,

Call Hal at injected performance
http://www.injectedperformance.com/

They've built 2 single cars with the sized turbo you want. It will definitely be 1 off

You can send it to Intense and they can do a "custom" Powerlab kit for you!

will for those of you who really ask what I want.
PL. platform, bigger inter cooler, 3" down pipe, since I already have a TN kit I will start
forming my kit from that, haven't figured out what turbo I'm going with but It might be something in the size rang of GT37 "might go bigger", water/meth, Haltech Pnp,
CP pistons 9:1, might go with eagle connecting rod, gtm s2 cams, os twin clutch,
CD009 trany, VLSD, return fuel system CJM s2, 700-1000 cc injectors, catch can,
oil cooler. "I will get it tuned on 93 oc gas and then ship the car over sees where it will
get tuned on 97oc gas" .
I came here to ask if it is a good idea or not? if not then what should I do?

Again, all of your needs can be met by what is out there now.

The only thing you will get from a true custom kit (not using the TN as a base thats failed before) is exclusivity.

Regarding what kit will do what for you, well thats all on here and up to you to research.

Thats all run of the mill stuff, like Alberto said its all off the shelf.

Aim higher if you wanna go 1 off. doesnt cost any more to fab pipes to fit that stuff.

6" vertical core intercooler
T6 flanged gt47-88 turbo
5" downpipe
ProEFI 128
Carrillo Rods
JWT C9/10 cams
Supertech valvetrain
1/2 width radiator

the turbo could sit facing forward right behind the bumper/grill.
