It is fun having 400whp, it's useable and does not make the car go side ways at 70mph.....that would be crazy!!!!

Hats off to fellow drivers who handle cars with such brute power!

You are welcome..... It's not just the power I enjoy it's the total experience which is exciting ....hearing it spool and then the BOV .....it feels great cause it is something you customized.

Is this on a very conservative tune or was this all you could get out of it due to knock? I get mine tuned on Wednesday and will also be pushing 12psi but with a procharger.

Well, you may want to get a second opinion on your tune...

I've trended boost psi to whp for a little while now and you are well 'below the curve'

at 13psi up in colorado I made 455whp with a modified procharger on a built block. Using the trendline formula 13psi averages 488whp - so you are 100whp lower than the average 350z owner making 13psi.

The trend formula (upper right hand corner) is whp is equal to 249 base whp plus 19whp for every 1 psi of boost...

Wouldnr depends on the size of the supercharger? I know xoming from the mustang worl, the root style twin screw kenbell 2.2l makes a hella more more power at the same psi than it does in a smaller size one.

I honestly don't know ....here is what I know.

The car first made 4psi and 280whp due to UR small crank pulley and 440cc injec. Then going back to stock crank it made 10psi and made 370WHp. Moore automotive said upgrade fuel injec so we can give more fuel and create more power and safer power. After going with 1000cc injec the boost went to 13psi but they could only extract 20whp!!!
4psi to 10psi and increase of 6psi gave 110whp but going from 10psi to 13.4psi and increase of 3psi and more fuel should have made more power!!!

How can one tell the engine is knocking??

Thanks.....

Motor Built? IF so, specs

I forgot to ask about your fuel system, other than the 1000cc injectors.

What are you using for an Intercooler? The one that come with the Vortech Kit?

Something is way off. That pulley combination should be spinning your Vortech around 65K. Most cars pushing a Vortech that hard are making 17+ psi and 550 hp. Are you positive those are the pulleys installed? If so, I would get a second opinion pretty quick. Can you take another picture of your dyno sheet that shows the rpms along the bottom?

Ya, I wanted to get all the info I could before telling t0ru3 something is off with he's numbers or info and/or not setup right. i.e. fuel system, intercooler, pulleys, belt slip?

This is to help you get your car setup correct, nothing else. I can do this thru a PM if you would like to keep it private....

I have never seen belt slip that could build linear boost all the way to redline. Would it have to be slipping at all rpms? Could there be a boost leak? Damaged impeller? Incorrect info? Were the runs being cut short?

I think a lot of pictures of the setup would help out. Count the cogs, measure the Serp pulley, measure the crank pulley, are there any check engine lights, get a second opinion on the tune.

If there is a boost leak. Definitely don't fix it and drive it without a retune.

Stock motor and inter cooler is just basic correct.....for fuel it's a 255 in the tank without fmu and return system
