2 part A/C question
First: When my car is warmed up, it seems the AC will pull from my transmission or something. The car runs fine when the AC is off but when I turn it on, the motor runs loudly and seems to pull hard in the first two to three gears. Whats going on?
Second: This ONLY happens when temps are above 95 degrees outside. This doesnt happen on normal hot days. When higher than 95 outside, my AC will randomly blow hot air instead of cold for a few mins at a time then turn cold again. Any other day, it runs cold consistently fine. This only happens ever so often on super hot days.

First, once you turn on your a/c, the compressor kicks in and adds a load to the VQ engine. As the system pressurizes and sends cooling air to the cabin, it will divert a small amount of output from the pulley assembly.
Second, any a/c system has limitations and blowing hot air means the system is being overwhelmed by hot outside temps. Your a/c system may not be working properly and we have no way to know what kind of miles are on your Z, or what's been fixed. Consider getting a qualified tech to do an assessment on your entire a/c system if it continues to malfunction.

Thanks for your reply. My z is a 2004 Touring model. It has about 124,000 miles on it. I had the AC compressor replaced about two years ago. Thats the only work ive had done to it or the AC system. It was recharged at that time as well.
