Yes, the wires into the ECU under the dash.
If you look in the digital service manual (you can download from this site), it tells you what numbers they are, and how to locate them on the ECU.

For 07' and 08' models the tps wire that is needed is the yellow wire on the passenger side throttle body.

Is there any difference in the TPS between the standard Zex kits, and the vehicle specific 350Z kit?

i dont think so...the 350z specific kit come with an aluminum fuel rail adapter so you don't have to cut the fuel line.

The only thing specific to the z kit is the braided line lengths, jet sizes and fuel adapter.

so was all this just nonsense about not being able to program the tps zex box. It should just program like anything else right, fully depress pedal for like 10 seconds or something and it learns the voltage curve. right? think i read something about our cars not being able to program like this and having to hit the rev limiter or something? what? don't think so.

I installed the kit, tapped into the green wire, everything is grounded and the light on the box is green, but we cant get the box to activate at full throttle. We tried opening the butterfly manually and hitting the rev limiter, but neither seem to work. There is a button on the zex box, does anyone know what that does? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Yea, that may be what I will do. I bought the kit for $225 pretty much brand new. The kid I bought it from said that If i cant get it working he will give me $100 back to go buy some solenoids which I think is a pretty fair deal. I really wish I knew why it wasnt working though... its just pissing me off

Bringing back an old thread, but did anyone figure out what colors the wires are on the G35?

I'd expect the G35 to have the same colors (which would make it green, if you're talking about the TB), but I could be shooting in the dark here.

I figured it'd be the same too, but I didn't want to tap the wrong wires for both the TB and the RPM...anyone know for sure?

the button on the box is to program the box, read the directions, i don't remember off the top of my head, something like push the button it should flash i think, hold it wide open for ten seconds then the box goes from red to yellow to green and programs, something like that, tells how in the directions, has anybody used the zex kit on a z or what, i don't wanna open the butterfly by hand, can't you just program it like you are supposed to?

so please tell me the way to program the zex box, since you are saying it can't be programmed the correct way with the key on and push the button on the box and hold it wide open, you are seriously saying this doesn't work, why not?, doesn't sound good trying to p;rogram the box with the car running wide open banging the rev limiter, i will be putting the kit on tomorrow, so i would like to know what i will be running into. it is a zex wet universal kit. same i had on my srt-4 back in the day and on my crossfire, programmed fine on both of them. and to clarify it is the green wire for tps by throttle body? i don't need rpm signal do i? but will for a utec when i get it

The best wire to tap into is off the throttle pedal itself. No need for the resistor if you do that and it gives a solid voltage. I have used this wire and my zex has always worked. Download the FSM and it will tell you all the wires and colors.

If you feel around the bottom of the throttle body, you'll notice a plastic connector. The green wire there is what you need to tap.

I just took this picture, so maybe this will help.
