This ZONC event is open to ALL responsible drivers that would like to join ZONC on this run and have some fun.

You don’t need a Z, or be a member to participate.

I am pleased to announce our First Annual: A Day in the Sierra’s. I choose the Feather River Canyon for its beauty and just an all out fun road to drive. Difficulty of driving skills: med to light. Enjoy the breathtaking scenic criss cross over the Feather River along the beautiful roads carved through the granite canyon. In all of my travels on a motorcycle and now sports car this stretch highway is my favorite. The highway connects to other greater highways heading north, but we are keeping on a southern route this time. The road is maintained very well by Cal Trans and provides some of if not the best sweepers in the Sierra’s. This run is not a spirited run, we are out to have fun and be safe.

Come out for a Day in the Sierra’s, the route is rated one of the best roads in California.

Made a dry run today, the road was clean and traffic to a minimum (even during this holiday weekend). Perfect day weather wise, there was still snow on the upper elevated mountain tops. Donner Pass was spectacular with all the snow still up on the caps. The river is high and beautiful. I have the bridge (above) scoped out for a rolling group shot over the bridge.

I will post up details soon on the restaurant(s).

You have some good connections... I have not seen them yet, I will have to em Ann for the link to the photos.

Weather was fantastic and should be for June 6th. The restaurants were a hit and we could not have asked for a more scenic drive than yesterday' dry run.

I believe from Ann and Paul's reaction to the run that I now know this was a good idea to make happen. There is so much to see, that you really need to take it a slow pace just to take in all the surroundings.
