When ever I have a wheel worked on, I remove the sensor. They're too much of a hassle to deal with. Calibration, falling out of place, stupid lights going off, ect, ect. I'm happier checking my tire pressure the old fashioned way.

having done this mod myself, i bot the bands from another member, who bot them from an online marine supply store. their addy can be found on our site. they were the perfect size, no splicing necessary, and much cheaper than the hre bands. you're right about the 2-sided tape, too.

Great DIY thread. I was able to order the Breeze bands off the web at www.HeavyDutyStore.com. $34.15 plus $8.46 for shipping. I have enough to do 8 wheels with the kit I ordered. With some double sided tape and snips from Home Depot I was able to make these in less than an hour.
I bought the TPS's used from another member. I'll be taking the car to the dealer to get the computer reset to recognize the new sensors.

^^I don't know about you but I wouldn't personally trust the way the sensors are just strapped onto the wheel like that. I just recently made a set myself and used the plywood spacer to secure it down. Who knows what bumps you will hit at 80+mph.
